I have one of firefighter's harnesses. It is well made, and the lights, both high and low, work better. Unfortunately, I would constantly get flashed by oncoming drivers. My headlights are adjusted properly. I believe it partly had to do with drivers seeing all four bulbs lit. You could cook a turkey with the high beams. They were awesome. I had to unplug the inboard bulbs. I also did not want to get pulled over and get a ticket. I plan to rewire it so the inner lows do not come on during low beam activation. By no means is this firefighter's fault. I selected to have all four bulbs illuminate on low. Lights are still way better than originals, and the headlight switch no longer gets hot. I'm sure it will last much longer. Thanks firefighter

Which bulbs do you run? I've got the same set up with standard 9004/9007 bulbs and I've never been flashed with my low beams on.
With high beams and my 2 4" hella spot lights, I've been flashed from a country mile away :D
Gotta pay attention when them are all on together.

LOL! That will wake them up. Yeah, same 9004/9007s. I even had someone drive my truck to see. Since I could see all four bulbs lit, it did appear as if my high beams were on. It's very dark where I live (no street lights), so they appear extra bright. I cannot stand people that just go around blinding people, especially those idiots with the blue headlights. #@$%! LOL!

More than 9 months later, I finally ordered the parts to build firefighter_2000's harness. When I called his source for the headlight plugs & sockets, they said that's a Craig H**** order! Craig, you're famous! :)

Correct on both counts.

WHen you think you have something that's fool-proof, send it to me and I'll figure out how to screw it up...

I built mine recently, and my advice is study the *excellent* instructions several times, then mark each wire end with masking tape or something so you don't lose track of what you're doing, then review your markings and the instructions again, then start working. If I'd done that, I probably wouldn't be having the problem I'm having now.

I'm not selling them anymore, but I've made a write up that shows exactly how to put it together, and where to get the parts etc. I'lol try to make a post soon with those instructions. In the mean time, email me at -- email address removed -- for the instructions

Nevermind the PM. See above.

I finally fixed my goofy headlights! When I built the harness, I installed both 9004 sockets on one side of the truck, and both 9007 sockets on the other. I'm very happy it was easy to fix - I just disengaged two terminals from the plug housings on two plugs and reinserted them into the opposite locations in the housings. This might not mean much to folks who haven't built a harness...

Rule # 1: Read instructions six times, solder once!

I've recently started making a few of these again occasionally. If anyone is interested in one still, I can send directions or you may purchase one from me. It might take a couple of weeks to order parts & build. Cost is $310 including shipping. You can email me at -- email address removed --

This is awesome news! I guess I need to start saving my pennies, I already had to replace the SUV Lights harness once and relays more than once, so having another source is good news!
