I have the speed limiter adjusted to 135 with Smarty, and the truck shakes sometimes when it hits 110, 115, or 120. Other times it doesnt. Like today, buried the speedo and it was smooth as could be. Other times Ill hit 115 and the whole thing will shake. Just wondering if this could be death wobble or something else. TIA

i'm no expert in high speed racing but i think, for those 100+ speeds, the care taken in suspension, brake set up and tire/wheel balancing is a little more dynamic than what our trucks generally experience.

to answer your question, death wobble is intermittant in my experience.

you likely don't have anything "broke" and just require better fine tuning in wheel balancing.

also, any warping in your rotors that could go un-noticed at "normal" speeds would shake things up pretty good at those speeds..... assuming your using your brakes. :)

an addition to wheel balancing you could consider having your tires trued if you drive that fast frequently.

hell, corvette owners sometimes struggle to keep their rides from wiggling around at 100+

there're other after market items to reduce this as well.

I think road surface has a lot to do with it. Our suspensions are quite stiff and at speed, the tires are airborne a lot if the road is rough at all... I think a lot of what might be construed as death wobble might be a rear tire going air-borne accelerating and then coming back down and grabbing traction.

Death wobble @100+mph, you wouldnt be typing right now. Expansion joints will cause a truck to shake at those speeds. What size tires you got??

Right now Im runnin the stock tires, but they are brand new take-offs from a truck the dealer sent to get leveling kit/33s added. Im currently looking into tires, maybe 35" Mickey Thompson ATZs, but am wondering if I need to go up in speed rating (although Im rarely at those speeds)
