I am getting a new Lift Pump (3990105) from Cummins and they told me I also need a electrical harness #4025182 to go with it.

Is that correct for a 1999 24 valve? I know I need a couple of the banjo washers, but is there anything else? I hope that new issue of the TDR gets here today! Thanks in advance.

It is not needed. It's only a 4" extension piece, but there is alot of harness on the truck already,so you end up looping the excess through a hook.

Turbo Dog,

I also have a 99 and the short wire harness plug was required to connect the new fuel lift pump # 3990105 because the pump connections are different. my pump (Orignial) had the plur wire perminitly attachted. I dont remember part # for harness but it is about 8 bucks. It was also required on both of my nieghbors and my brothers rigs 1999s 3500 4X4. Why cut and splice when you can just plug it in for 8 Bucks.

Thanks for the info guys, I will go ahead and get the harness just in case I need it on mine too.

TJ,

How hard were the Ray T banjo fittings to put in? I am considering doing those next.
