crazy suicidal carp invade river

Well, it is here!!! 100+ degree days and no rain! Yesterday I was standing in the back yard and all of a sudden this little (not full grown) rabbit comes tearing across the yard at full speed, ears back, and LAUNCHES itself about 8 feet across the concrete into the swimming pool. It was incredible! Had to fish it our with a net so it wouldn't drown like a few others have. We put out water but they still like to get in the pool.

Uuhhh..... I guess you can tell it doesn't take much to entertain me. :D

Yep its hot here too. 100 yesterday and will probably hit that today too. Not quite as hot at the house but probably a little more humid. Da** calf got through the fence yesterday after I got home so I had to do some fence repairs. They been sticking there heads through the fence. Grass is always greener on the other side. Sweat was dripping off my big head on to my glasses smearing them up. I would of took them off but then I would hit my finger with the hammer:eek: I could feel  the sweat running down my back onto my the cheeks of my ***:D

I wish it was hot and dry here. Hot and HUMID like I cant remember. Spent last week putting out irrigation pipe in the sun. 98-102 on my shady front porch, and it felt cool. Humidity in the 90s. There was almost fog, but not quite. It hasnt rained in 2 weeks, so the dust is getting annoying. Ischultz- I can sympathize with you about the sweat running into unmentionable places. I cant stand it running down my face, personally. I got too used to Colorado and the sweat evaporating immediately. Gotta get back home.....

Hot!!

Always hot here in the desert. 3. 87 inches per year ave rain fall 28 days in a row over 100 this summer. But you don't have to shovel it. 50 to 60 all winter. I lived in the North East all my life and I'll take this for now.

Mtngoat keep pushing it this way. We've had the same temps as you lately and the lack of rain. Supposed to all change this weekend as that rain is headed this way. I think it's sprinkling already.

Talked to my cousin in the Oklahoma panhandle (you gotta want to live there!) and he said it was so hot there yesterday, a trailer hauling corn went by his pasture. The corn started popping from the heat and popcorn was flying everywhere. Cousins cattle thought it was snow and froze to death. It must be weird living there.

I never had any kind of tolerance for the heat. It's in the 90's in central Virginia with the humidity level at around 80%. I've become a complete hermit. Only go outside when I absoutely have to.

WDaniels,,,, I should be up in your neck of the woods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
