Is it normal to have oil film.........

Is it normal to have oil on the lower front end of the motor. What is the small plastic pill-like bottle on the front of the motor? Maybe a blowby bottle? It seems to be coming from there. Here is a pic to show. There is just a slight film o the front of the oil pan, the balancer, and the sway bar. The dipstick reads fine my truck is not that Bombed just muffler delete, K&N filter, no fender funnel, no silencer ring, that is it. Please help I really don't know if I am being really anal or if there is something seriously wrong. I hate taking the truck to the dealer.

do not know how to insert a pic and I don't want to change oil yet in case I have to take to the dealer and they would have to change oil. Then the amsoil would be wasted.

Yes, there is a blowby bottle and it does cause oil to be blown by the fan over the lower eng. area. Drain the bottle. Most guys either get rid of it and add more hose and run it back under the lower eng. Or you can keep the bottle like I did and run enough hose to route it back and to the side away from the fan wash. Just be carefull not to kink the hose and keep it running downward.

Thanks Chuck I just read the owners manual and figured that out geeze dumb me I was a little scared at first now she's ok with Amsoil emptied the bottle and rotated the tires next!!!!!?? hmmm well maybe I will win the lottery for some more bombing money lol I wish thanks again
