I want to try a different brand shocks for the front. I have Bilsteins (blue/yellow) in the back. Is this something that will have a negative effect? I do not want to be sorry for my decision. The OEM front shocks are spongy, soft, and need replacing. Thanks.

Sounds like you already have different shocks front to rear. Are you unhappy with the Bilsteins you have in the rear?

JMcCoy,
They bounce a lot on the freeway expansion joints when driving empty. With load they are ok. I guess I will get the Bilsteins for the front too. If I do not like those, it's not the end of the world, I change'em:)

I've had good luck with the Edlebrocks. That said, there is a bridge in my area that gives good cause to raise one arm and yell YEEEH HAAAW!!! Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

I have

I put bilsteins on the front & rear of mine probably 30k miles ago. I've been VERY satisfied with them. Go ahead and get the bilstiens for the front. You wont be sorry.

Thanks

Craig

I don't know if anyone makes them for a 2wd, but A good pair of progressive rate coil springs may also help some.
