Guys,
I have a 2012 4500 6.7 aisin AWD with def. Would it be possible to legally, mostly, to tune up for more HP? It does the job but is kinda wimpy in the power dept. When working , it gets 6 to 8 mpg but is real easy on def. Was hoping for a way to bring these #'s up to 10 or so.

You need 50 HP and a couple hundred TQ and THEN it will feel much better. I *think* a Smarty Jr S67 might work for what you want, it has a 40 HP setting and removes a lot of the TQ management. You get a code reader and tire size selector with that for a modest price. I cannot find where it doesn't work on a CC and I know its big brother with weight loss works on a 5500 so it likely will.

FYI, the 5500 with an 80 HP tune will smoke the duals if you really want to.
