Hi all,

The oil pressure gauge in my truck is on the fritz. Only dropping occasionally, but now more frequently. Time to replace it I think. I researched the archives and it appears to me that there is a sender and also a sensor? Am I right or am I crazy. (Well, I do know the answer to that one)

What is it that I want to replace? The sensor or the sender with all the wires

Anyone? Bueller??

TIA

Steve

My wife let me keep it!

Yes you probably need to replace the sending unit on the driver side behind the power steering pump and below the injection pump. Mine was doing this same thing and a new sender fixed it.

Pay twice as much and only replace it once, most auto parts aftermarket senders don't hold up well, buy a sender from Cummins.

Groovy

Excellent information. I have the numbers and will head to Cummins Northeast when I am back from the beach in a week! It's vacation time!:D

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Steve
