Two weeks ago my truck started hunting alot for the proper gear. So I cleaned the battery cables and wall-la problem gone.

Next day, I leave for my house hunting trip in Colorado Springs. When I come back: the first day it is fine, and I pulled a 4000lb trailer about 10 miles round trip. Next day the truck won't shift from first to second, unless I let off the throttle. So I change the transmission fluid, filter, and adjust both bands. the problem still exists but seems to shift faster. There was no exessive matterial in the pan, at least any more than the last couple of times I serviced the trans.

Stats

106,000 miles on truck

53,000 miles on 2nd trans (1st trans went around 53K)

Only power adders are Superchip programmer set at full, and 4" exhaust.

I am expieriencing similar problems w/my 2001 2500, I brought it to a trans shop and he got engine codes all pointing to a fuel problem. That being said it went to my mechanic who replaced the ff and put in a new low pressure fuel pump I had no problems for a few days but once again it is now what feels to me like it is hanging up in gear around 35 mph, my mechanic now thinks its a transmission problem.
