Ford confirmers new light duty diesel!

Gale Banks is off his rocker!

I looked for quite a while and did not see a truck, then finally I spotted it. I think it is a CTD, sure would make a fun drag truck.

that pic came up about a year ago, i think someone posted that was in the service and told about them, they have super low gearing and autos if i remember right, i think it could be fun to pop wheelies with :-laf

I work Ammo. Those bombs are stuff I build. I can't remember that girls name, but she's an Ammo troop as well... . I have some other pics of girls on bombs and missles that wouldn't be able to be shown on this website :D

She's sitting on a GBU 24, looks like a bunch of MK84 slicks and some GBU-10s in the background.

Yes that's a CTD. We call them "Bobtails". We have 1st gen and 2nd gen, both 12 and 24valvers. They are rated to tow up to 70,000lbs I believe. I know it's a crap ton of weight.

The heavist I've towed was around 30,000lbs and it did that without much trouble. I towed the same trailers with one of the F-350 Bobtails we have (picture the same truck, but Ford) and I BARELY made it up the hill. WOT in 1st gear and the torque convertor was stalling.

They are auto transmissions. On the newer ones O/D is locked out so it's just a 3 speed. 7. 17 gears in the axles (D60/D70), top speed of 35-40mph, depending on the truck.

In Alaska we would keep one chained on all 4s in the winter. Put that sucker in low range and you could pull a building off the foundation

Oh and yes you can pop wheelies with them. If you jam the gas and brake one after the other, you can get the front end to pop up and down like a mexican car... I might have done it once bad enough that the pintle hook in the back was hitting the ground. Not saying I did though. . :D
