On the engine block drivers side behind the fuel filter. There is a hole with a plug in it. Whats it there for ?

I'll have to look but it mite be freeze plug.

The 1/2" plug you are talking about goes into the water jacket. This plug must come out and be replaced with a hose barb when an Espar heater is installed on a 12 Valve.

I`m surprised you could see it. I only could see it with the starter & fuel filter off, and only from underneath the truck. Can`t see or reach it from the top.

If we are talking about the same plug?

Did you mean the 1/2" plug in the intake manifold near the fuel filter?
