Coming back from the races in Indy this weekend my flex pipe came apart for the stacks. The set up I have is 7 years old and I transferred it from my last truck so I want to upgrade now.

My current truck is an 03 and I would like to step up to 5in from the turbo to the stacks.

After doing some searches I have found that I will need to update to the later (04. 5-07) cast iron turbo elbow and larger v-band clamp to be able to get a 5in DP (PN 5161570AA and 52121285AA).

I have sent out a couple of PMs to vendors looking for a price quotes on Tuesday but I have not heard anything back? I was looking for a 5in DP, the 5in pipe that connects from the DP to the muffler, 5in flex, and a 5in 90 elbow, with band clamps to connect everything.

I really would like to get this fixed because my exhaust is not connected to the stacks with the flex breaking, and the loudness and fumes are annoying. So I finally found a website that has everything listed online for order individually.

So my question now is the pipe that connects to the DP and runs back to the front of the muffler, is that straight pipe without any hangers? I can not remember and my truck is not here with me right now. I was just going to order a 5in piece of straight exhaust for that part since I can not get anyone to help me out.

Thanks,

Nate

the downpipe has one hanger on it that attaches to the bell housing. . there is no hangers on the mid pipe that leads to the muffler [which has 3 hangers on it]
