Ok,I am offically sick of it.....

Suburban Will not go!!

Am I the only one who thinks the national and international media are doing everything to sabotage the war effort?

Every day the CenCom meetings are loaded with anti-American questions and hateful questions about civilian casualties ... casualties the we did not cause!

Just today, a few "reporters" harped on the fact that they have not been shown fighter vidio of a failed bombing run or a missle that missed its mark. Also, there was "reporter" outrage about the supposed civilian casualties in Bagdad today about a wayward bomb ...

When is the bombing campaign going to start against the ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN headquarters here in this country!!! The "reporters" for these organizations should be brought up on sedition charges!!!

I would hope that the CenCom daily briefings will come to a end quickly and the Bagdad and Aljazeria TV will be put out of commision permanently very soon. Or at the very least a "wayward" missle hits that Bagdad hotel where all those "reporters" are staying at ... that would be a major victory!

Although I agree with you on this matter, I believe that the Anti-American reporters help to re-enforce the very reason we are in Iraq in the first place.

They don't want the truth told as Brig. General Brooke's states it, they want to create their own hateful version of the facts and falsely accuse our President and Military forces of atrocities that are committed by Saddam's Iraqis Terrorist, in hopes that the America haters in this country will continue to protest and create havoc in our streets and disrupt commerce.

I was in Biloxi Mississippi yesterday, to have lunch with my Daughter and Son in Law who is in the Air Force, I can tell you moral is 100% and the Yellow ribbons and American Flags are every where, including the Police & Fire Department vehicles.

I just noticed on our local newspaper website they have a place to write letters of support to our troops. As a side note, they state that messages of protest are not welcome.

I agree that the media typically will do anything possible to make GW look bad, I was surprised to see this today.

Our Mayor and I think even the Governor took the time to lead a march of support through town and up to the Air Force base gates this past weekend.

You guys should see how bad it is in the San Francisco area. The media is continuing to stir up the anti-American IDIOTS.

I had to cross the Golden Gate bridge twice last week on Thursday, going from south SFO to Marin county and back again.

The chaos is incredible and the old hippies from 1967 are out in force training their ******* children. Almost every over pass on the freeways had people on top with anti-American banners. I of course displayed my middle finger to all of them as I passed.

The central areas of SF were dangerous and the cops are hog- tied to do anything about. The raciest mayor Willie Brown likes this kind of crap!

It's coming guys... better load up on survival stuff... your gonna need it

San Francisco is BAD

Was over in the city yesterday for some business and I so wanted to mow some of those protesters down with the Ram. Gave them half a peace sign and a little smoke to go with their whine.

I had a protester jump out in front of me last week at the mall in Modesto. I slammed on my brakes and almost hit him, he just had the deer in the head light look, god those people are getting on my nerves!!!!!

FATCAT, I'm all for some MOAB testing on those damn liberals, but without them who would I point to as an example for my 4 year old not to be like!!

Re: MOAB Time

Sounds like its time to release the new MOAB on SanFran.
I agree everyone in this <strike>kingdom</strike> country who doesn't agree with Little George should be rounded up and executed. The only media permitted should be KGWB. If our government would just get off their butts and instill more fear in the population we wouldn't have this protester and media problem. If only we could talk Saddam into coming over here and running the show it would so much better, we would all have the opinion or else.

What kills me is they let French reporters in to ask questions.

One was concerned about our rounds causing cancer.

I wonder if the guys Sadam ran through the shredder really care about cancer?

These people are not just disagreeing, they have the destruction of this country on their minds.

Voicing opinions and causing all kinds of havoc, are 2 different things.

I suppose you agree with the tree huggers who spiked trees? Or the PETAS who poisoned hunting dogs?

How about the merry little bunch that was burning resorts?

Be careful who you stick up for, they may burn your house next, expressing their, "freedoms"

From my observations, it appears that the media is trying to foment opposition to the war by making the number of casualties we've suffered the main story. To me, the news is what progress we've made, not what it cost us to gain that progress.

Speaking of BGen. Brooks, I watched him briefing the media this morning. A reporter asked a particularly ignorant question and the general calmly responded: "Sir, I disagree with the premise of your question. "

I've never before heard anyone told that they were full of *** with such eloquence! :D

What do people think?

I really don't see the problem, the media only reports whats happening, with whatever spin it wants. It is up to you to figure out the truth from all of this. It has been this way since the beginning of time, do you expect it to change? If you do not like what one newspaper is saying, go to the next, sooner or later you will find one with your point of view.

War will have civilian causality's, it is a fact of war, anyone who thinks that there will be no civilians killed, lives in a dream world. It is the same with friendly fire (which is not really friendly), it happens. Lets just hope it is held to a minimum.

CF, I can't believe you don't see a problem with the reporting by the media. It should be obvious that the American and foreign "journalists" are doing their best to plant doubt in the minds of the American public, and to paint the US as the evil aggressor.

The press uses statements like "... the Iraqis report that 12 civilians were killed by US bombs today ... " and then in the next

breath say "... US forces claim (or allege) that it was not their missile that went astray ... ". There is never a reporting of Iraqi

atrocities ... heck, there has hardly been any reporting about our POW's being executed and tortured.

These statements have nothing to do with reporting facts and everything about pushing an agenda ... mainly sabotage of the war effort. The best thing for this war is to get it over quickly and for the Central Command to suspend all these daily briefings.

Well here is my take on this subject. While I agree in this day and age, the media has to be there, the world simply would not tolerate not knowing what is going on over there. However being the son of TWO war veterns (OF WHICH I AM EXTEMELY PROUD OF) what bothers me almost worries and infuriates me, is that I view some of the coverage as detrimintal to the safety of our troops. Do they think that everyone in the world except our enemies are watching? It seems pretty dangerous to allow these reporters to go on SAT. t. v. and tell the world what units they are with and where they are and where they have been and basically tell the world where they are going. Along with all that they are always telling the world what kind of protection they have at that moment what kind of weapons they are caring with them and so on. This seems to me to be VERY dangerous. I mean obviously we (AMERICANS) are not the only ones watching this. If I was the enemy I think I could use this to my addvantage. As far as the reporters at CENCOM asking the questions that are hateful or even incriminating (attempting to do so anyway) I too disagree with them, the problem is that there are so many DA*N tree huggers and PANSIES in this world that I fear we will never get rid of thier non-sense.

Its news?

If twelve Iraqis got killed, its news, is it not? You guys are much too sensitive and put too much meaning into things that are not supposed to have any meaning. If I say "The sky is falling" would that mean that it is a Democratic party plot if I mention in the next paragraph that the democratic party is going to hold a meeting at the airport? The media is going to put whatever spin they want, it is up to us to figure out what it is.

And as far as being the aggressor, I think we are. They did not attack us YET. You can call it pre-emtive liberation if you like, but this is just like "what do you mean by sex?" statement by you guys favorite person.

I saw many, many, interviews with US Marines telling about Iraqi troops in civilian cloths, carrying white flags, and then opening fire on them. In short, if our resolve is not strong enough to take a few hits and a couple of weeks of war and the things that come with it, then we better get out of it now. This thing may take awhile. And after this one, there will another and another. They need a few more troops like onestackram in the field, I do know a good recruiter. :D

Lets tighten our belts and reload. Now say a prayer for the boys in the news, and hope for their safe return.

You know I wish I was moderator sometimes so that when it comes to issues like this and someone who doesnt agree with me replys on a post I can just DELETE HALF of thier reply, simply because I dont like that they disagree with me. The funny part is the half of my last post they (who ever moderated this post) deleted the part where I did NOT SLAM anyone, NOR did I EVEN SAY ANYTHING SPECIFIC TO ANYONE PERSON. Great moderating JOB GUYS

"they din't attack us"??????

CF says they didn't attack us---------I was all mixed up, it was just some of the"sky falling" that took out those towers and all those people, or is it possible that saddam and the terrorist are not in the same boat? fat chance.

It should be pretty hard to suggest that MUCH of the media is not apparently trying to undermine the war effort , when even members of media are saying its so. Just a few years ago it was unheard of for one member of the media to question what others were doing.

Just today O'rielly strongly condemned both the NY and LA times for slanted dishonest reporting and had on two british guys who were saying the British press was misrepresenting the war as well. To have several members of the press agreeing that some of the press is misrepresenting the war is really very remarkable; it means the misreprsentation is flagrant!

Way beyond "spin"

My biggest area of confusion with this whole war thing is when people try to connect saddam and osama... I haven't seen any evidence that they worked together. . maybe im just not looking in the right spot?I was under the impression that osama was banned from iraq?. . this war isn't really about terrorists in iraq is it?... whatever it is about, I hope my good friend and cousins carry out Gov. Bush . . I mean president Bushs plan. . and come home safely... ones marine recon and the other is on his way to Bosra with the 24thMEU... .

Sorry, Robin- mea culpa. (Latin for "my bad")

Scared?

It is OK to be afraid, everyone in America is. But you don't strike out at everything and everyone that you FEEL is threatening you (well maybe this administration does) . All these guys backing the war are just frightened, its OK we are all in this together. We are now attacking the only true link (besides Saddam offering rewards for suicide bombers in Israel) to Iraq and terror. We could have done this without invading the whole country. They are in a remote region of Iraq not controlled by Saddam and are under Kurdish rule (our allies). We are now in the soup and can not climb out of the pot. All we can hope for is a quick victory and the safe return of our men and women.
