Is there a breather on the 48re?

I just installed a rebuilt 48re in my '03. I don't recall seeing a breather tube.

Is there one? My Chevy's 4l80e had one, and how does any execss pressure get released?

If it's like the other RE series transmissions, the breater hole is in the bellhousing behind the convertor

unless it has been modified... ... ... some aftermarket companies are going to external tubes.
