I want to get gauges but don't want warranty problems. i want a EGT gauge because i have a stage 1 predator and a trans temp. i figured if i leave out the boost gauge i would be ok. any comments?

i have an 04. 0 also. i never thought about warranty when putting gauges in. they don't affect or alter performance, just monitor it. the predator, or in my case, the TST box would be of greater concern of affecting warranty. fortunately i haven't had any issues, so i am not sure what i would do if i need to take it in. i am sure others here will have had experience in this area.

If you have a problem and the dealer can "prove" beyond a reasonable doubt that they gauges caused the problem, they will void it. Otherwise no unless they're just being an a$$. If you install a pyrometer pre-turbo in the manifold and have a turbo failure, I wouldn't expect them to cover it due to the possibility of metal shavings going through the turbo.

When you come in with gauges they get very suspicious and look for signs of a chip like velcro or a very clean fuse box holder. Other than that there should be no issues assuming they are installed correctly. Take your time and make sure you drill at the right place!

I asked the service manager where I bought the truck if there were any problems with installing the gauges. He said that it would not affect my warranty at all.
