You can get it from Piers for 150, and with them, you know what you're getting, and they stand behind what they sell. Be careful buying stuff on Ebay. Some people have gotten burned

That's listed by HighTech Turbo. The same people that are making the HTB2 turbo. I have purchased many things from them, great people to deal with!

I got my 16cm from High Tech, on EBay, for $150. It was brand new, shipped quick and much advice and comment have been received from them since. Good folks. I also was instrumental in getting them to advertise on TDR..... still waiting for my referral fee!!!

I forgot, it was $135, with shipping it came to $150.

Thats nothing special, its the going rate for a new 16. I tell ya those 16's are like gold, can't even find one for $50 used. I've been looking for some time now.

I always browse through ebay... . so it was a curiousity thing on the price. I was actually looking for a used cylinder head that I could send out to one of our advertisers. I recently purchased a chrome kit from Scheids and installed it. Its a great kit from Cummins, they shipped promptly and it installed rather easily. But since there isn't an intake for 1st gens listed. I will have to go to ebay or the classifieds here or. And since I really can't take my truck off the road for more then a weekend it will get expensive since I need to buy a "core" part and keep the extra around.

Hey here is a question, is there any difference between a 1992 head and a 2nd gen head. I'll be looking to buy one in about a month.

Yes there is. The 2nd gen head flows a little better than the first gen heads. A few of the 93 trucks were lucky enough to get the 2nd gen head on them late in the manufaturing run.

BTW, HTT is a reputable company to deal with, whether through ebay or directly AND they are an advertiser here (watch the banner ads).

I agree that High Tech Turbo is a great place to deal with. We did a turbo upgrade on my son's truck with their parts and instructions. Nice folks, very helpfull.

Why not support a diesel shop that supports us?

Just for the record, High Tech Turbo IS a TDR advertiser. They were in the last magazine, and you'll also see their banner at the top of the page. PDR and TST have been at it for quite some time. I would encourage the support of new advertisers as well. It could lead to some type of sponsored event in the future.
