I am buying my truck through the Overseas Military Sales Corporation - an outfit the seels to returning military personel, diplomats, and expats in general direct on behalf of the big three US manufacturers. They offer an additional Owners Protection Plan to supplement the 3/36 DCwarranty. For $ 950, it will give me full coverage on everything - including electrics, aircon, brakes (less pads I assume) etc. for 7 years or 75,000 miles. It's transferrable, pays direct to dealer rather than via reimbursement ($ 50 deductible), allows work at any dealer, gives $ 30 per day towards car rental when the truck is in the shop, and $ 100 for towing ( no limit) - both of which kick in immediately, not after the end of 3/36 DC.
It sounds good to me... . what do you think?
They are also offering Lo-Jack for $590 - is that any good ?
Thanks for the help
