Daylight savings time change again

Hi Steve:

When I open the forms page we are given the option of 'View[ing] New Posts'. This is a very nice feature and certainly would't want it to go away.

BUT it sure would be nice to have this search function search ONLY the forms currently subscribed to. For me that would be the 24 Valve, Towning and Accesssory forms. When finish reviewing or reading the new posts for the subscribed forms they would be the ones marked as read. This could have several benefits for all.

1. May cut down on the required bandwidth by eliminating a search and display of ALL new items in the database.

2. Fewer members online at ONE time looking through information they may not be interested in; and

3. You could still go back and look at any form desired by just not selecting the "View New Posts' option.

Tom, I agree. The reason I don't use the view new posts feature is because of all the extra threads from forums I never read. A change would be nice if possible.

FACT is, *I* find LOTS of interesting stuff going on in forums I would otherwise skip - some of the basics apply to far more than thread or forum title might suggest - and if you keep current, the list stays pretty short...

Illflem (and others :)

You make a good point when you stated: "FACT is, *I* find LOTS of interesting stuff" ... Cont'd

Gave your suggestions/ideas some thought and came up with a number 4. What do you think?

4. 'View All New Posts' OR

'View Only New Subscribed Posts'

Also agree with you that when you view the site frequently its no bid deal. Usually I visit the site once a day when possible. If viewed once a day then there are usually about 75-150 posts to review. If viewed every other day then it gets down right hairy with maybe 150-300 posts to look through. Anything over three hundred and my attention span suffers, LOL
