Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel pressure question

You when a salesman is lying...

. . his lips are moving!

... and did he mention which Allison transmission he's "going to put in"? Ask him the model number (MD3060, etc) and watch him backpedal. If he's talking the 1000 (like the dura-min) they have their own set of mods that would be needed to handle that kind of power. For a dose of reality, see: ATS

So BS walks and money talks. Doesn't he realize that he has at least less 20% HP due to loss in the drive train at the rear wheels? So..... lets see, 235 flywheel minus 20% equals 188HP + Edge at best, wiithout wastgate mod adds 40hp for a total of 228HP! Don't care about exhaust, airfilter etc. , doesn't add that much. How do I know, I just dynoed at BD on their Mustang dyno and it is tough! Where did he come up with the another 147HP? Is he running NOS????

Tell that lying car salesman to blow it out his ass or if he has the pelotas tell him to put the rubber to the rollers in front of witnesses and the proof will be in the puddin.

Respectfully,

Roger

Hey!!!! I take this personally

Guys,

We really need to pull this guy aside and give him a little heads up... ... ... He bombed his truck... ..... right? Drives a CTD... . right? He's a car salesman... ... . right?... ... . Well 2 out of three ain't bad..... right?

I know exactly where he got those numbers from... ... ... . He used the dealer supplied calculator on his desk... ... ... The same one used to calculate our payments and GREAT DEALS..... LOL

Just give him a regular calculator and he'll see the error of his ways... ...

Just remember, when a salesman owns a CTD and bombs it he might be a good guy to know when you need a favor... ... ... Catch my drift?????

I am a Dodge truck salesman... ... . I drive a 3500 CTD everyday..... I take a considerable amount of abuse almost daily.....

Hey watchya tow with that beast?????

ANYTHING I WANT... ..... How bout that???

How long does it take you to park that pig?

That depends on visibility... ... VISIBILITY? Yeah, whether I park on top of you or not.

Where do you buy gas for that thing?????

I'm SORRY, I'll answer stupid questions all day long... ..... but, even I have to draw the line somewhere... ... .

Enjoy,

Eric

I'm reading this thread every day and enjoying every post. Thanks for the responses. :D

I'm half tempted to just print this whole thing off and hand it to him. But like a few of you have said, he is a CTD owner that knows it's the best on the road, and he's BOMB'd it, too. So he's not all bad.

But I'm a little concerned about how he may be mis-leading novice BOMBers out there who haven't discovered this wonderful source of experience and knowledge (TDR). He did say he won't sell a comp box or any box that is higher HP rated than his without the customer putting in gauges. So he's not a total menace.

He is aware of the TDR but I don't know if he's a regular or a member. Probably not, or I think he'd be responding by now.

I may have to go in and 'chat' with him a few minutes just to clear up a few 'questions' I have, armed with all this info.

Thanks again,

Jay:

I've got a 4 inch exhaust, EZ box and 275's, plus Amsoil foam air filter, the snorkel removed and Amsoil lubes throughout the drivetrain and I'm in the neighborhood of 300 hp. And I grenaded my stock clutch after towing extensively with these mods. I've only "dyno'd" with a G-Tech. He's blowin' smoke. I wonder if the stuff he sells is as good as what he's inhaling. :-laf :-laf

Smoke blower

Jay,

That guy may not be a member of the TDR but if he has a computor or has access to one he may have been reading all this right along. He may be alittle upset so you might "walk softly and carry a big stick" when you see him.

I agreee with all the other guys. I've been to some dyno days although I never ran mine. He is way off base, but my guess is that he really believes it himself.
