I already know my parking brake is dead, I normally have been using a block behind the wheel but I noticed when parking on a hill shifter in 1st or 2nd gear the truck will slowly lurch forward 3-4 inches and continue this. parking up and down hill. is the weight turning the engine over and moving the truck or is this clutch issue. next week I will be fixing the parking brake $ (since it is adjusted to the max and nothing)

thanks

Yep, that's normal. There's nothing in the trans that locks the driveline. You're just sitting against the compression, which will eventually and always leak down and cause the truck to roll. Here's an earlier thread about it.

Are you adjusting the parking brake via the starwheel in the drum or trying to adjust it with the cable?

with the starwheel inside the hubs. the parking brakes are toast. taking off with them on to many times but its a great way to build boost. ha.

thanks for the input
