Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Is this supposed to do this ??

Is the rubber in the transmission mount glued to the bracket? I was under my truck checking for play in the tail shaft of transfer case and was able to literally separate the transmission mount in half. All the bolts are in their correct holes but what the hell keeps the rubber attached to the bracket. If i need a new mount,where is the best price over the internet? Thank you

Molded

The rear trans mount is molded in one piece. If you are able to separate it by lifting on the trans, then it needs replacement.



Your local autoparts store can get one for you, Napa, Carquest, Autozone etc.
