My truck was made in Mexico, and more likely were most of the others.
So you're saying that we should pop the door liners to see if anything has been hidden inside?![]()
Not to worry. The auto workers in Mexico are very conscientious about their work because there's a long line of workers outside the plant gate waiting to get their jobs if they screw up even once.
Unions have raised the costs of manufacturing and protected employees that need to be fired. (just watch video) I've worked for the AFL/CIO and one of the reasons I quit, nothing like having to work harder to meet the negotiated quota per hour because everyone else has abused their sick leave for a regular day off.I was raised to work hard and give your employer 110%, after all he puts your bread and butter on your dinner table. If you squeeze your employer hard enough, he has to make profit from somewhere and higher costs as well as lower quality is the first to suffer.
dont start the union thing again some get P Oed when you talk about the slackers (they may have been a slacker)
Yep Bignasty, I'm one of them. I've seen the other side where people are abused because they have no representation - and there are others waiting in line for a crappy corporate no-advancement job.
Geez people - Unions are what helped put the Middle class on the map. I realize there may be some abuse occasionally, but I FEAR corporations that are in ultimate control with no one to answer to. Seriously, are you on the side of people or big money? WHO do corporations answer to other than unions and stockholders?
As far as giving 110%, that's great. But what is even better is giving 95- 100% -so you have something left for your family, and the other important things in life besides work. And no, I'm not talking about slacking.
Flame away... .
Did anyone ever think if it was not for the Unions we might have the SAME PAY SCALE here as they do in Mexico. Did you not hear about how strong the Unions are in Europe and the wages and benefits they make.
Blame it on the United Auto Workers. Besides my Mexican built Dodge, we have 3 Toyota's. The UAW will have to go a long ways before I buy another American made car or truck. I really wish I could buy American, but not until they can put some quality back in their cars and trucks.
