I have an 06 mega cab 3500, I have had the truck almost two months. I was gone for work for the last month, but while gone I ordered a TST power max with gauges. The truck has two thousand miles on it, I installed the TST per the instructions. The truck started hard the first start after the install. I drove the truck and the power is awesome, but now the truck has a really hard start and sometimes it starts and then stalls, other times it starts and then idles up and down and runs really rough. If I turn it off and re-start it a couple of times it will start and work fine. I called TST after I went through and checked all my connections, We talked and they were very nice after trouble shooting the problem they decided it was an issue with the timing portion of the Power max, I was sent a new Power max, I installed the new box yesterday same harness new box, the problem did not recur for the first five or so stops and re-starts. Now the same problem is back.

I also have a check engine light and codes, p0336, p0341, p0513, p0111, p0340 and p0237. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Since I posted last I have driven my wife into town, I installed the bypass plug and have taken the Power Max out of the loop. I am still running the wiring harness, I have stopped the truck and restarted it about 6 times and now I have no issues at all. I do miss the extra power though. I have the Power Max grounded to the battery, I thought about gronding it right to the body. I don't know if this would help?

With the older trucks there were problems associated with grounding to the battery. Some (including me) grounded our TST's to the frame behind the panel under the steering wheel. On the bottom right there's a perfect screw location for a ground. On our older trucks, it solved some a/c issues and some codes.

I'm not saying this is *the* solution, but trying it couldn't hurt.

As a side benefit, you could wire in an on/off switch in the ground. The TST will not add any power with the ground disconnected, so you'll have a valet switch as well.

I have driven the truck even more now and the problem has reoccurred it doesn't happen as often, but it does happen. I think it has to do with the TST harness. We didn't have a problem before the Power Max and the Harness is the only thing I have not changed. I am going to try the ground but with the box removed from the system there should not be any problem with grounding.
