Sounds like VP44 is going, here are the symtoms. Last fall started seeing highway milage drop after 100 miles on any trip. Watched over head and would see consistant 20. 5 to 21 then after 1. 5 to 2 hours of travel time milage would start to fall. Had a couple of dead pedal episodes this winter, changed filter and went away. Now it's back and so is code 216. Once in a while it will turn over longer to start and has lost power in OD. Have had FASS system for one year. Problems now are more apparent when it's hot. Pump wire is on so DC is off the hook. Best place to get pump and what should labor cost? DW

My dealer says it MIGHT be my accelarator sending unit. They have been replacing a lot of them,@ least that what he says about mine w\ similar problems. GOOD LUCK Ps the cost for my fix will be around $600. 00

Anyone with the 0216 code is going to be buying a VP-44. A mechanic/ dealer who says anything else, is selling unnecesary parts.

Mine has just about died. Much dead pedal. Lotsa smoke and little power.

About to order the Blue Chip Special. Better computer.

I don't mind spending a little extra for more dependability.
