I got the ISSpro gauges, boost and EGT. I returned the first egt because the lowest it would read is 175-200 deg , even with the input pins shorted. The lowest I could get it to go at idle was about 275.
When taking it out, I set it on the console and it rolled onto the seat. When packing it into the box to return it I noticed it now reads about 75? What the heck?
I install the new one. The next morning I come outside and it reads just above 0 deg (its 75 outside) At idle, I can get it down to about 175-200. I also notice, while costing down long hills, I can see 100 deg (even though the truck has been running over an hour) Is this normal? I kept the orginal probe, I hope the gauge is not calabrated to the probe it's shipped with?
Also the boost gauge rattles above 18 psi. While installing the new EGT, I put some of that clay you use to seal RV's over the boost hose, where it comes out of the A piller. It still rattles. is this normal?
I heard of somebody using a propane torch to check the calabration of the probe. got any more info on this?
