Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) issopro fuel gauge

Hello to all,I'm new to the site. I've installed the Vulcan relocation kit and gauge. I'm having a problem with the erratic readings on the gauge. On the first startup I had 13. 5@idle 11@2000rpm. While driving 12 miles to work the gauge suddenly shot up to 24psi and wouldn't go down. I got another gauge. Figured the first may be bad. Hooked it up 12. 5@idle 11@2000rpm. It worked fine for a full day,then I got home and this gauge was reading 24psi. I've got the isolator mounted in the verticle position. Looks like all or most air is out of the gauge side. I opened the screw to bleed the air out of fuel side. Also a new Carter lift pump. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks

Do you have a snubber or needle valve installed? If not you ight try installing one. I have a needle valve on my setup. I have it installed where the FP input is on the vulcan kit. That way if I need to shut the fuel off I can. I bought the valve from Eric at Vulcan. If you install a needle valve shut it all the way off and start the truck. Then start opening up the valve till you see the pressure start slowly creeping up and leave it there. Also do a search here for snubber or needle valve. Several threads on this issue.

I installed the needle valve this past weekend. My readings are 12. 5 @ idle 11@ 2000rpm. Can't drag it down any lower than 11psi. The needle valve seems to be the ticket. Thanks MBFARMS and ToolMan for the education.
