Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I have had problems with my Isspro EGT gauge giving erratic readings or no readings at all lately. I bought the kit from Diesel Injection Service, and they sent out a full replacement kit when I called and asked for help. See my post about their awesome service.
Well, the replacement kit arrived this evening, so it was time to do some troubleshooting. I have suspected the thermocouple was not working properly, so I was going to start there first. Before changing the original thermocouple with the new one, I did verify that all connections were tight. The connections were good, and the gauge still did not read correctly. Time to begin.....
I removed the original thermocouple and replaced it with the new one. I made the connections to the lead wire, snugged them up, and took the truck out for a spin. THE GAUGE READS CORRECTLY IMMEDIATELY! It would appear that my suspicions were correct. But, I will wait a few days to make sure everything continues to work OK. Replacing the actual gauge would be easy, but changing out the lead wire would be a PITA. Hopefully, the only problem was the thermocouple.
When all is working well, I will send back the unused parts to DIS with notes on what I found to be wrong. Given this experience with DIS and their customer service, they will have some more of my money here very soon. I've got more BOMB parts to order!
