Is there such an animal?

Have been holding off on the next set of 3 gauges until Isspro comes up w/ a FP gauge, but been hearing people have them already.

Which isspro gauge are you guys using to monitor the lift pump?

Any tips?

Thanks

I have their EV mechanical fuel pressure gauge, but I'm STILL waiting for Autometer to get off the porch and start building more dash pods. :mad: #@$%! :-{}

FP gauge plumbing

Shovelhead, I'm gettin' the EV series mechanical gauge 0-30 psi. How'd you plumb yours into the cab?Anyone else have ideas on fittings and tubing to use?

Phil

Rod at Wildcat Diesel Performance has a contact who build SS braided fuel lines with AN fittings for these gauges.

Mine are still in the box 'cus Autometer can't/won't build more dash pods.

Rod is still trying to hunt down the endangered, elusive dash pod, but even he is running out of sources.

Guess I'm gonna have to build my own.

I have just purchased a triple pillar mount from Piers and I bought the Nordskog Electric FP and Summit with sendingg unit for 92 bucks. No fuel lines to run and it is a great match to my Isspro boost and EGT. 0-16lbs in 1lbs. increments. Nice looking gauge at half the cost of Autometer! Why pay more? I will let you know how it works , Dave

Shovelhead, if you ever DO get a dash pod and TRY to run the braided SS hose to your mechanical FP gauge, you'll wish you went the A-pillar route, trust me! Routing that large and stiff of hose is a bear enough to get to the A-pillar, I wouldn't even want to try routing it to the dash pod

What's the deal with Autometer & dash pods? I really like mine. When I installed my Autometer mechanical FP gauge in mine I took a tap and die set to it and turned the -4AN threads to 1/8" NPT. I then connected the gauge with the same fittings & tubing that is used on the boost or oil pressure gauges. So far 3 weeks, no leaks :)

Isspro product engineer told me they would consider offering a 0-30 electric fuel pressure gauge if there was enough interest. I bought their boost and pyro gauges and wanted to matching FP gauge. I ordered a Cyberdyne digital gauge from Jeg's but for those that are interested . http://isspro.com/ElectGuages.html

:) :)

Scott, I got the FP gauge installed today and it was really easy. three wires and screw the sending unit to the filter housing Ii will take some pictures thursday and send you. It runs 16lbs. at idle and the lowest I have gotten it is 14 but I will try tonite on my way to Reno. I looks great. Dave:)

Thanks Dave! I can't wait to see it. Oo. Oo.

Thompson,

I sent them an e-mail. I also mentioned the red pointers that everyone keeps bringing up. Thanks for the research.

Scott

Hello everone, I am sending the Nordskog gauge back to Summit! No, it worked fine but I went to the airport last nite and the face lights up RED! Really red, to much red for me. If you want red this is the gauge. I have a replacement coming today its just a digital 10Bucks more(38), but it comes in amber, green, or red. It does work good and was a breeze to install, Dave Pics to follow

I happend to send an email to ISSPRO this week in regards to the electronic FP gauge. Here's their reply (they had very quick response time):

I expect to have something available around Fall 2002. I will keep your

Did they mention if it would be in the EV series and maybe a red danger zone for anything less than 8 psi (since that is the new magic number for DC to replace lift pumps)?

Alot of us have sent emails to Kelly already asking for the EV FP gauge.

I think it was Piers that started a thread on it, or someone else, but alot of people responded & sent requests. Was a few months ag.
