Alright dudes, I swear this will be my last "which gage to buy" question... but is the only difference between the EV and Non EV a brightness thing? I mean if you got good eyes will they blind you? It would be nice if you could see a live display... I'm sure I'll be mad when i see some of your trucks Lol... I always thought that I was gonna buy autometer guages but I like the color coding on the pyro (Like Daniel said) for isspro and price makes a difference too. Other than that I like the looks of autometer better I think (Cobalt in particular, but Zseries is probably better for our trucks)... Guess I cant have the best of both worlds lol. Anyhoo, I'm ordering my guages today (FINALLY, haha) :)

TIA,

Carl, you should be able to go to each manufacturers website and view and compare gauges, might even have some night pics. I will guess though on the EV vs nonEV, the EV has a convex lense instead of flat and maybe the numbers and lines are fatter to allow easier viewing?? NOt sure. When I was comparing, I like the looks of the EV series and the color coded pyro myself, so thats why I ordered EV isspro. Don't forget, buy at least a 40psi boost gauge, I started with 30, went to 60 for 'down the road'. If you go with EV isspro pyro there are two different color codings, one for preturbo and other for postturbo. MAke sure the vendor doesnt sell you the wrong one. They both read 1500*, just the color coding is different.

I have a non-EV pyro, R607T. The rest are EV, R5623 (0-60psi) boost gauge and R5659R for transmission. HTH.

Similar to my 60 psi gauge- #ad

Pyro- #ad

transmission- #ad

The big difference will come at night. I just replaced a non-EV tach with an EV tach because I did not like the illumination on the non-EV. There is a BIG difference in in the lighting of the two. I had to look too hard to read the non-EV at night. The down side to the EV is that with the convex lens, sometimes glare makes tham difficult to read during the day.

It all gets down to choice. I, myself, like the pass through lighting of the EV gauges. I have mine wired into my dash lights so they are adjustable with the dimmer control.

Well, it's a done deal :) I ordered the Isspro tach (R8503), the 40 psi boost and the rainbow faced pyro. Good point Bill, I forgot to make sure i was getting the pre-turbo gage... I looked at the pic on the web page and it sure looked like a preturbo gage to me. It's from Piers-I should phone or email them to make sure I suppose... but the three gages and a three gage dashmount (I think it's like the one that Dan Brooks has from the way he described it) came out to $447 CAD after taxes and everything... which i figgure is in the are of $280... the dashmount was $100 ($62 U. S. approx. )even steven, so I'm happy :) They are all the EVA series, I believe that's all they carry but I don't care I like em. LOL Finally! The dude on the phone knew Pastor Bob, I thought that was cool  I tried to offer him money to steal PB's stick lol

Three Cheers and 24 beers for Piers! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'>#ad
