Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Dyno Question

Have a Isspro gauge on my 2001. I have PowerbyPoole's fuel line kit that have the NPT fitting post filter for the gauge. I have a rubber line from there to gauge. It has been working fine for for the past year. The gauge started bouncing yesterday. At Idle it drops down to 7-9 PSI... i accelerate and the pressure will go up, then the gauge will operate in the 11-15 range which is where it is usually. It never gets below about 7. Last time it did this i replace the LP figuring it was just going bad.

Think there could be air in the line... . or did i kill another LP after less than 10K miles.

(LP in on from next to tank with the big line kit all the way up. )

thanks

Seth

Do you have the gauge hooked up with an isolator, or directly with diesel going to the actual gauge inside?

directly to diesel. It is a mechanical gauge... . when i bought the kit... cant remember who i got it through now... . there was not one.

what does the isolator do... i assume keep the fuel out??

Since I know you already went out and bought a FASS system I hope you told Olee about the wagging gauge. He's got a fix for it, it involves putting a special fitting in the line that acts as a buffer for the gauge. Downside is you don't get to see any quick/sudden changes in fuel pressure... it's on somewhat of a delay.
