2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission ISSPRO Fuel Pressure Guage

Ok I have read the install instructions several times. What is the best way to install this puppy? I understand filling the isolator but, what about the tubing and the guage? Looks darn near impossible to get any liquid into the guage. I am replacing my failed DiPricol F. P gauge before my trip to CO Sunday so I am trolling for suggestions.

I know this doesnt answer your question but I think you will find a lot of people dont use the isolator. I didnt use one one mine and I have 70,000 trouble free miles.

As long as your tubing is less than 6 ft the isolator should prime it on its own. I assume that you will mount your isolator on the drivers side firewall just like me next to the slave cylinder... so you should be fine. I just went through my whole fuel system and installed a new isolator. Make sure that you put thread tape/compound on all your connections make them nice and tight. Also don't overfill the isolator, leave around 1/4 - 1/8 inch from the top of the reservoir. PM me if you have any ?'s

I know for a fact that my tubing from isoloater to guage is not 100% fluid, but still works fine.

I taped a syringe to the top end of the tubing and dropped the isolator end into a jug of antifreeze. Draw the air out of the tubing which will draw antifreeze into it to fill it completely. When the tubing is full, hook up the bottom end to the isolator and then the gauge end.



Mine has worked great for 2 years.

Yep, I used a mity-vac to pull the antifreeze. I've had problems though keeping the lines from developing leaks. I'ld like to have something a little more durable than the 1/8 plastic line, at least for the engine side of the isolator. Bruce

All you really need to do is fill the top of the isolator (gauge side) w/ antifeeze. This will remove most of the air and also lubricatio the rubber bladder, preventing it from sticking to the top of the isolator. It happens sometimes w/o the antifreeze. That's pretty much it. I sleeved my tubing to the gauge with some rubber vacuum hose to protect it from heat and sharp edges.
