Question for the mildly bombed

Hot Wrench in Boston???

I know gauges were supposed to be the first thing I put on my truck, but I figure better late than never. I am thinking I like the pillar mount gauges best. I want a egt, boost, and a fuel pressure gauge. I have already had to replace one bad lift pump. I want to use all the same make and type of gauge, but can't find anyone who makes all three that I like the design of. I like the Isspro EV series. I was thinking I would use the 40psi boost gauge, and then use the 15 psi boost gauge for the fuel pressure. I know it probaly isn't compatable with diesel fuel, but we use gauge isolaters all the time at work with chemicals that eat everything except for titanium and platic. I would mount one close to the filter and use an inert fluid to the gauge. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any other suggestions. It wouldn't bother me that the gauge wouldn't say fuel pressure, I would know what it was for. Thanks

Boost guage for fuel pressure

I have Autometer Z's. Andy at ADT set me up with fuel pressure gauge kit that will use the 0/35 boost guage. Both Andy and Autometer told me that it's fine. I can't tell you if I like it 'cause it's still riding in a UPS truck.

I wanted the 0/35 'cause I know the bombing thing will never end and with a pusher pump (not sure yet if I'll put one in still researching the matter) PSI should be around 20.

ADT??

Glenn, Where do I find a number or web address for ADT? I might try to get the isolater they are sending you. I like the looks of Isspro the best and have good experience with them in heavy trucks. What about was the price for the isolator? Also SEmerson, how do you like the fit of the pillar gauge mount, is it a direct replacent? Thanks, Tony

I ain't gonna use an isolator, diesel ain't going to blow me up if it ever spings a leak. Call or email Andy at ADT he'll hook you up. I know Autometer does make an isolator for this gauge. I might end up buying it after my cab start smelling like diesel:rolleyes:

Lots of guys run it without, I'll give it shot see how it goes.

Here is ADT info.

Gauges

Check out VDO gauges - they offer a broad range of scales I haven't found with Isspro and Autometer. I have their vision series gauges and they work well. Their website www.vdona.com does not always provide the best info, but www.egauges.com and some others do.

From what I've heard VDO makes the gauges for Banks.

I just had Isspro gauges installed by ADT last Saturday. The Isspro EV gauges are great at night time. Isspro doesn't make a fuel pressure gauge yet so Andy installed an Autometer gauge. I intend to change it out as soon as Isspro has one because the Autometer gauge can't compare at night time with the back lit feature of the Isspro.

Also I placed my on the dash. I like it better. Just my . 02

ADT is top notch.
