Just looking for some feed back on gauges. This is my 3rd Dodge diesel but the first one that I ever put gauges in. The truck is bone stock but I might get smarty for it down the road. I gross 21,200lbs hauling my 5er and stog her pretty good on the hills and would just like to monitor things. Was looking at the 3 gauge pillar mount Isspro or the Quad. Commander. Appreciate any pro or con advice.

Thanks,Rob.

I like analog gauges, they look cool and you can at a glance see where your temps or pressures are, BUT... The Quad Commander is so full of features, and monitors so many things in one package, that I think it's the way to go. The equivelant amount of gauges would cost a lot of money, plus you have to figure in the expense of a couple gauge pods and where you'll mount all of them.

I sure like my Quad... My last truck had 3 gauges and cost me twice what the Quad did and the Quad monitors 7 functions. I'm an analog-gauge guy at heart but I've found the 'exception' to my rule... and it's called "Quad".

Thanks for the feedback guys. I agree that the commander has the best features but I do like the look of the isspro pillar mount gauges except for having to remove the pillar handle. Thanks again,Rob.

i would back up the commander, especially for you 3rd gen guys. the fact that it can read rail pressure makes it worth the money alone. by the time you bought 3 analog guages and then bought a pressure gauge your into it for atleast twice the money. this thing is AWESOME and compact. for those of us that like to 'hide' the toys in the truck i love this thing.

I've got to agree with the above. Analog guages are beautiful, and easy to read at a glance (needle position), but I just put in a Commander with the fuel pressure monitoring kit and it really does monitor your engine. There is no data that you need that it doesn't give you, and you can change the data you're seeing as you drive. The pillar mount works pretty well too, although mine has a bit of a gap on the inside edge near the top.

The commander now has a A-pillar mount for the 3rd gen trucks and it keeps the grab handle. We have installed a few of these and man they look good. Already painted to match.

I started with the Commander, then pulled that to install the DiPricol gauges. They looked real nice, but I kept wanting the Commander's consolidated display, so I pulled the Pricol gauges and reinstalled the Commander. This time, I installed the new A-pillar mount for it and it looks real nice.

Now I'm debating whether or not to reinstall my Xillaraider module... ... hmmm, tempting.

Who's selling the Quad Commander and mounts? Also, does it come with everything you'll need to install it (all the sensors and wiring)?
