Question concerning the install of the probe into the exhaust manifold. I talked to Don from Isspro the other day concerning what size drill bit to use for the pyrometer he said to use a 7/16 but when I compared the bit to the bushing the bit was just a bit bigger than the inside diamter of the bushing. For those of you who have the Isspro EV series pyro gauges what size bit did you use to drill the manifold and what size tap?

Same here.

7/16 drill (stepped it up a few times from a small pilot) and a 1/4" NPT tap. Make sure its NPT.

I used an 11/32" drill and an 1/8" NPT tap.

I didn't like the size of the 1/4" fitting so I bought a 1/8" fitting and bored it with an F drill so the probe would go through. You can purchase an 1/8" fitting from ISSPRO, too.

diesel on
