Hello all, I'm considering purchasing a turbo timer. I like the price of the Isspro, but was wondering if the guys/gals who have them could tell me if they are happy with them, and how easy/hard it was to install. I've seen some previous posts about a different wiring schematic but the links dont work anymore to the schematic, could somebody explain what/where the new schematic is. Thanks

Issue #30 Pages 14 and 15

See if someone can fax it to you? I won't have access to a fax until late tonight at work. Or actually I can let you borrow my magazine sometime. What are you doing tommorrow? What part of town you live in????

Steve St. Laurent can help answer your questions on that timer, he wrote the article.

KatDiesel is my email... . lemmie know what part of town your in etc.

Here's a link to the info I gave to DIS for their website on the turbo temp monitor - http://www.dieselpage.com/art1199tm.htm . I'll let someone else fill you in on how hard it is to install since I designed the circuit. There's an article on it in issue #30 I believe it is (I'll verify this over the weekend and update this if that's wrong) - you could order the back issue, it's explained in more detail there. You could also email me and I'll try to dig up the article off of my HD and I could email it to you (Word 97 format).

Had one for about 3 mounths (3200 miles) works great bout a week ago it started not shuting off haven't had time to check it out yet.

It's GREAT

I believe that this is the best aftermarket device I have added to my truck, my wife even likes it. It's kind of funny walking away from the truck when it's still running, people kind of look at you funny in parking lots and when you go to someones house and get to the door and the truck is still running they always ask "aren't you going to turn your truck off?"

My install was different than yours will be but it wasn't to hard, the hardest part for me was drilling my exhaust elbow, I hate drilling holes in things.

I have only had it a couple of months so Sean's comment has me a little worried.

Sean,

Please let us know what you find wrong with yours.

Thanks,

Caleb

Mine is working fine still after a year and a half. I did have trouble with mine shutting down last winter for a little while, what I found was that the grid heater was operating and that was keeping the temps up, once I fixed that it starting working fine again. Another thing to consider is have you just started using your A/C recently? You have to turn off the A/C when you shut down or it will take FOREVER for it to shut down because the A/C compressor puts just enough load on the engine to slow down the cooldown. I turn mine to the vent position or off before I shut down (the only positions that the A/C compressor is not running is OFF, vent, and floor heater, ALL the others it's working).

Thanks for the sugestion but I wired it so it only feeds power to the pump, turning the a/c and the fan off was the first thing I tried have been using the a/c for couple of mounths and it shut off fine, and my cummins is in my ford

It looks like the problem is one of the therm lead wires is not making good contect with the terminal end, move it a littel and it works. So I guess the good news is its not a problem with there control box. but im going to have to do somthing with ther lead wires I hate crimped wires they allways come lose
