I got my 97 running after timing issues and KDP Fix. I took the truck and drove it for 5 days and on the 5th day I went to drive to Brooklyn Michigan for the Nascar race last Saturday. I was 150 miles into the drive and my engine started running ruff and I had a knock in the engine. I pulled off to the side of the road and noticed that there was oil in the coolant coming out of the overflow bottle and smoke coming out of number 4, 5, and 6 cylinders lifter holes. I put a new head gasket on the truck last night and started it up and found that there was still a knock. I looked in the archives and opened the Injectors one by one and found that when I cracked number 6 injector the knock went away. at an idle the knock goes away when you rev the engine up in park. When there is a load it doesn't seem to go away. What could this be? Is the engine shot I am at a loss. Any help would be great!!!!! #@$%!
 
Well I have been looking at other threads and see that it is not uncommon for trucks that have 230,000 to 250,000 miles on these trucks to have to put new rod bearings and wrist pins in them! I think that is the problem with mine!
