Competition Michigan Pull on Sunday

Off Roading new diesel

Both days were no less than great!

I'll go over a little of tonights results:

I don't remember who won the street...

Prostreet:

CURT HAISLEY OWNED THE CLASS!!! he won both the quals in the pro and finals. Nice job!

Mod class:

1. Kent Crowder/ Scheid Diesel "Pure Diesel"

2. Van Haisley/ Haisley Machine "Rock Hard Ram"

3. Terry Martin / Scheid Diesel

These 3 trucks were no less than amazing.

Kent's pull was around 380' +

Van and Terry were in the 350' area.

Terry Martin's Scheid truck is now twinned... and its BAD!!!

Others in the class included Andy Schureck, Stingley/EEP a couple others (just can't think of who at the moment).

Anywho..... A great time.

It was hell hot this weekend.

Dang Justin that was quick! Do you have a laptop with you or what? :-laf

Heck I just walked in the door getting home. I think I'm gonna go get some sleep now. :-laf

Oh yeah check your pm's

Good show as usual. Whats every body think about those Duramax Dyno numbers?? Especially the torque figures. When i left, a Dura max had the highest torque value dynoed at the show.

The winner of the ST class was the first gen from Wildwood MO. :) I can't remember his name either. We had a great time have lots of pics of the pulls, burnouts, smoke shows and the show and shine. I will get them posted soon.

By the way where were the Furds? They sure didn't have a very good showing at all.

I saw the dura- with the 1267 torque but it only showed 414 hp. What gives? Anybody know if N2O was used?

The numbers aren't in the normal balance.

The Duramax with the 12xx torque was all diesel, no drugs... . with his box set down a notch because it kept cutting out on the highest setting. He lives not far from me, it's a pretty tough truck. The dyno didn't seem quite right to me though, looking at the results (Mustang dyno)?

THE DURAMAX MADE 424. 3 AND 1266. 7 THE FIRST RUN 447. 9 AND 1334. 5 ON THE 2ND RUN ON SCHIEDS DYNO ... ... MADE 502 AND 1200 (mAX TQ. ) ON DUNBARS DYNOJET THE DAY BEFORE(FRI)

Mudcat, did you look close at that 1st gen? Check those pics carefully, look to see what side the front pumpkin is on:D How about the dash? Fooled me last year too:D. Which truck was yours? Mine was the silver rusty stacked 89 on Fri, the nicer two tone brown red 91 on Sat. The 89 on the dyno jet did 243hp and 583ftlb, time for more mods!

Man I figured I'd get home and there would be all kinds of talk on here.

Was a blast of a weekend for us. I enjoyed having the two dyno's there. Looks like the total will come in at over 180 trucks dyno'd.

On my dyno:

Highest Fords were Chad Flynn at 447. 7 in his 04

Highest Duramax was Parker Branch at 600. 6 (NOS)

Highest Dodge was Rick Wallace at 637. 2

I couldn't stay for the drags But Jeff kept me informed on what the Garmon team did. Darren Morrison blew a boot on his first and best pass at about the 450 - 500 foot mark and ran a 7. 11 at 70 something MPH. He won the Pro Street class at a slow for him 7. 20 @ 97 mph.

Jeff only ran once in the drag truck. The shut down area was small and he had a hard time stopping. His only pass was a 6. 39.

The Schied Dragster was awesome. First class from front wing to rear wing. Can't wait to see it run.

Met many new faces and saw many old ones. Was fun indeed. This was my first Extravaganza but not my last.

Yup, that was quite a show this weekend, this was my first trip there, I'll be going back.

David, thanks for the dyno run, this was the first time this truck had been on a dyno.

04. 5, TST 5x5 = 418 HP 837 TQ.

I noticed the front axle didn't have any hubs but didn't take much notice of it. hey it still had first Gen sheet metal on it. ;)

I took a run on the Mustang dyno friday morning, I did 214 and 705 but he didn't do it in OD. Don't know if it would have made much difference or not but oh well. Here are a bunch of pics we took. My first gen is the one doing the burn out. pics

Too bad I didn't make it down there until Saturday. I was hoping to see more 1st gens with stacks, I'm still undecided on what I want to do with mine. I think I only saw one with stacks besides that pulling truck.

We all had a good time (as much fun as can be had with three little kids) and will be back next year for sure.

Does anyone have a photo album of the event? I'm trying to identify a picture of a truck that was on the dyno one of these past years... . It was a black 3500 with stacks.

Good time as always!

I'd have to say the highlight of the weekend, (besides what happened after everyone went to bed) was hearing some of those 24valves go to 4,400rpm's.  Got the old gears in the head spinning again.

Good to see lots of old friends. And some of the best pulling I've seen all year. Hopefully next year I can play too. ;)

Seen more 1st gens this year than last. Got to meet George Paterson and Brian- KTA Cummins and his B1 on top of a HX60 in that yellow 89 SWEET!! I forgot to ask if someone would take some pics of my truck on the dyno, I wonder if anyone took one of there own of it??? Definately can't miss TiM next year, what was I thinking when I missed it this year...

Was truly an awesome time. Got to see some MO boys do pretty good. One of these days I'll get my truck ready to pull. Scheid's truck continues to amaze. Kurt Haisley rocked too. Damn, that truck goes. Hat's off to everyone in the Show-n-Shine that kicked DarrellB and I's asses. Super-nice trucks in there. I'll get 'em next year. Got to meet and hang out with DarrellB and the infamous Got Smoke? Thursday night. I don't know about Darrell but I had a few too many cold ones. I owe the man a sixer too. I was worried it was going to rain the whole weekend but I guess we got lucky. Be back next year.
