After 3 days, finally got home during daylight to look over the truck. Got Rhino liner (over the rail) applied monday, looks awesome. Second time I have had this product, was very happy with it on my 98. I don't want this to turn into a whats better (Line-X/Rhino) post, but I will say I do like the look of the Rhino, the marbled, rubbery feel, seems to keep things in their place. I was able to get an over-the-rail apply done at no extra $$, so I am no longer forced to look at the scratches put there by a boneheaded fuel attendants coat one week after owning the truck.
On that note, we all know the (for the lack of a better word) "poor" quality of our 3G paints. I had Diamond Gloss paint protectant applied, it is a treatment that hardens the clear coat, and brings with it a lifetime no-fading warranty, and the truck always looks "wet", and repels water and soil. I had it done also to my 98 (in 03), brought back the shine, removed swirl marks and toughened up the finish too.
