Well after about 163,000 good miles i think my turbo is dieing. I pulled my air cleaner off the other day and their is play in the shaft and you can visually see where the turbines have dug into the housing. Now that I know it is dieing what should be its replacement??? Should it be a PDR hx-35 a PDR hx-40 or something bigger. See my sig for other bomb's

Thanks

Tony

How much boost you were pulling with your stock turbo has a lot to do with it. There are a lot of turbos to choose from and how much you have to spend and how much power you want have a lot to do with it. I would go with a piers HX-40 or a 55.

I'm surprised you kept the 35 so long... . especially with your fueling (370's/191's).

I like the PDR-40 and various flavors of twins... . :D

Sounds to me like it is time for a Diesel Dynamics 40 they work just as good as any other 40 on the market. Good luck!!:p

I just got the 370's and 191's on in March. So I have been saving for a new one I guess this will just speed it up.

I really Don't want to go to twins yet. I need a turbo that will be good for towing. I am really not to concerned about boost #'s. I am looking to be in the 450hp range. Right now the 40 is looking real good but I just got some info on the k-45. It sounds like a really nice turbo also. I think I have a little bit of time left before she blows a cork.

Thanks
