Howdy All, and cyber cigars to all you guys!

I had my 2nd boy on Wednesday, (12/18/02) at 11:11 AM. He was 8 lb. 1 oz. He got a 9/9 Apgar(sp?) score out of 10. That's some medical kind of rating. The nurses said that no babies get 10's, so I guess he's about as healthy as a baby can get. This is the 1st chance I've had to get on the TDR since before he was born. He's doing great so far! His mother is doing great as well! A man couldn't be any more blessed than me and I give thanks to God!

His name is JyRO Caleb Oliver (Jason Caleb Oliver). My first son (who's about 2. 5 years old and is taking to being a big brother like a Cummins does to towing heavy - he loves it so far), his name is Phillip Garrett, named after my brother Phillip, since at that time I didn't know if I'd have a 2nd son. To eliminate confusion we call him Garrett. Now with my 2nd son, we're keeping the trend and calling him Caleb, so's me and my family won't get confused as to who we're talking about.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Apgar

Yup, apgars of 9/9 are fantastic! You have a winner there! Congratulations to you and your wife. I hope you don't plan on sleeping for a while... .

The doc does a quick look at the baby right at birth and checks color, breathing, movement, crying and so on. Each area gets zero, one or two points. Then they check a second time in five minutes and look at the same things.

So, your little guy probably entered the world kicking and screaming, with a nice red face. Just a normal, healthy kid. I hope he stays that way.

Congrats... ... ... now put that 2003 2500 CTD on lay-a-way, so when he's old enough to drive, he won't be asking for your keys. ;)

I don't have any children, but I can't imagine having anything better to put under the tree this year.

Congratulations on the new Junior Jyro.
