I sold my 2005 3500 today. :(

It's still here for a few more days but I offered it for sale to a local guy a week or so back & his financing was approved today. I knew I wanted to sell it as I'm investing in a piece of property where I need every cent I can get my hands on but reality never sinks in until you get a call like that.

It's like losing your best friend. :{ :{

Focus on the benifit of your property deal. Property is harder to come by then a truck. You can get another Diesel down the road. Thumbs up! its a good thing!

Yes, I'm with you & thanks for the support but she'll be sadly missed.

I still have a couple of other trucks I'm working on & almost ready to drive but this one was my baby.

Easy come easy go!

Should have sold it to me! That thing is awesome. Think of it this way though. With time, trucks decresase in value and you lose money, land on the other hand goes up in price and makes you money with time. I think you did the right thing from a mature standpoint. Even if your truck looked as nice as it does.

Blu,

You don't need a spare when you go to 19. 5's! That's the beauty... they're 14ply. The sidewall is like 1. 5" thick!

Seriously... I've got over 75K on these tires now & they aren't half way yet. No flats & I work in a shipyard where nails & welding rod stubs run rampant... no flats. It's still got the original 17" spare under there but I bet it never comes down.

:--) I wish I know before buying my 06' dually. I'm aiming for the same look. Don't worry, you'll get another one..... Maybe the Megacab will finally be a long bed at that time.

It's a beautiful truck but it's not for everyone. 5" exhaust, PDR twins, Fass, PDR Transmission, aluminum intercooler(plastic one didn't like 72lbs of boost) :-laf

Lots of guys buy the 3rd Gens because their quiet... those guys wouldn't have been impressed with this one. :D

I posted it once on the classifieds but since I'm in Vancouver, BC there was concern regarding the warranty being valid in the US. Warranty? I'm not sure DC would approve of the modifications even in Canada. :-laf

Actually, they just replaced the RB1 Navigation this morning on warranty. They all know it's modified but turn a blind eye. I'm sure that would quickly change if I brought it in with a hole burned through a piston or two!

That would be a sad day, I don't think I could part with mine. I see you pulled the skins off the wheels.

Your truck is featured on Buck Stop's website

That same pic is used for their 'Outback' line of bumpers.

I ordered that same bumper from BuckStop, partly because it looks so good on your rig! Does the buyer know that your truck is a 'celebrity?'

By the way, how much did the new bumper affect your front end? Did it lower it at all, (because of the weight?)

I have a 4x2, which is low enough all ready.

You know, that worried me when I ordered it but it was never an issue. I never noticed any difference in ride or hight... which is strange with 400lbs or so hanging out there! Tristan at Buckstop was one of the guys looking at buying it. I think my truck got the first outback because they didn't have any pictures to show me when I ordered it. It was a gamble but I really like it. Quite a chunk of iron up there... I'd just hate to hit a dump truck with that thing bolted there!

Hey man I've got a basic Ranchhand Grille guard on my CTD, and I swear it lowered the front almost an inch? It's not as heavy as a Buckstop, but I had to use a floorjack just to install it.

Hell I would have sold mine to buy yours if I would have known :( I hope my truck doesn't read this.....

I just unloaded my 3rd gen too. I on the other hand couldn't be happier. It was a great truck but I am going back to my first true love..... a 12v.

FDavid... I'm with you.

I'll take that even a step further... I realize the pre 24V 98 Cummins is the answer for big big power but I tell you. . I miss my old First Gen more than any vehicle I've ever owned. Yes it's noisy, yes it's a bit rough around the edges but so am I.

It's a mans truck & I aim to find me another one. If anyone knows of any low milers... drop me a message.
