It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not driveable yet (for a myriaid of reasons), but after installing a new 950 CCA battery and straightening out a minor wiring mistake, we're up and running! Oo. This engine has not been ran since last September, but the ol' 1st gen rotary-pumper fired right up like she'd last been ran yesterday.



I guess there will always be a CTD in my life in one form or another. Now it's time to move on to the 10,000,000 other things that need to be finished in order to make it roadworthy. :{

Glad to hear that you're making progress, Don. What did you end up doing in regards to an exhaust manifold. Sorry I was never able to answer your question about the manifolds in the FL-series trucks at my work. There haven't been any around at my building in quite some time.

Andy, what I was trying to find out was how the turbocharger drain was configured on those trucks. Thanks to Forrest Nearing I was able to obtain the correct drain tube to go with this manifold. But even then I still ended up having to tweak that one to make it clear the motor mount. Oh yeah, I had to bend the pipe that goes inside the block too.

That's what I meant to write was "drain tube", not "manifold".

Looks like you needed to have six inch long fingers, two wrists, and three elbows on each arm to connect that drain tube! Good job, lookin' good!
