Congrats on getting it paid for. I wanted one for a long time but just couldn’t pony up the bucks to get it. Last September I found a holdover 18’ with 11 miles new on a dealer lot for a great deal and brought it back with me. Did a little RV ing in August (4500 miles in 2 1/2 weeks) and you are right. There is nothing like the sound of a Cummins doing what it likes. Pulling. We had planned to be gone longer but the hurricane cut our trip short. Glad we came home early too. We had winds 60-70 mph in N. Louisiana and were without power for 4 days. Got a total of 14K miles on mine now and it runs better every day. Congrats again!

Indeed this is sweetness, especially when the buggy has been good to you.
I jumped for joy when I paid my 04, and now Midnite is nearing payoff. That one had a rough start, but with now 66k on the clock, the last 20 or so have been trouble free. I had doubts in the beginning, but now I’m confident it’ll make it to my benchmark of 10 years.

If I lived in an area that my vehicles didn't rust away before my eyes, I would be more than happy to keep vehicles long term. As it is though, I find myself replacing or buying one every 3 to 5 years for various reasons. It feels great when the payments are over. But, they are just a matter of life at this point.

I hear ya about the rust from salted roads, and the aftermath. I take my backpack sprayer, and fill it with hot water, and try to spray all that crap off before it gets garaged. It seems to be working. I use the Jeep in the Winter. It took me 3 years to figure out my truck would fit in my garage ( power folding mirrors are awesome) . Mice prompted me to find a better place to park instead of the gravel driveway.

I just paid mine off last month. I got the title a couple of days ago. Good feeling, it was a long haul. Due to Cummins Ram values I have a nice investment sitting in the driveway. 2013 Big Horn Dually, Aisin, 4.10 gears.

About a week after payoff I got a letter from the bank releasing the lien and telling me the DMV will be sending me a clear title. They went on to explain they don't hold the title but place an electronic lien on the property with DMV. Nine days later I received the clear title. What a good feeling!!

Congrats on being truck payment free! I love the 'No truck payment' feeling! I paid ours off early by making weekly payments instead of monthly.
