The propane was installed this weekend, and initial driving results show greatly improved performance. I looked all day for a powerstoker or duramaxy and was ready with my pink slip.

Life is good :);)

As John said... ... ... BOMBing is never complete.

I thought I was happy with what I did until I put it on the dyno this weekend:( Was hoping for more.

A wise-old engine builder once told me... .

It's not a DYNO, it's a lie detector.

Speed = $$$$$$$$, how fast do you wanna go? :D

Bombing over?

"Bombing" is like a drug addiction. You stop when you run out of money, and get high again when someone else beats you. You forget what stock was like and get used to your new found power, only to start again! The only cure I know of is to get rid of your truck and buy a Duramax. :D :D

Ya Right.....

I have a Comp box and DD2s. I drive around on level 2 or 3 and it is allready starting to feel slow again. Lucky for my account I have to wait for level 4 & 5 until I get a clutch installed. Sam

My take on it: There is no such thing as too much horsepower and I'm not entirely sure there is such a thing as enough!!! :D

BOMBing never ends until you die or the truck does. Like political BS and taxes, it has no end... ... .

propane?

jim:

ho do you like tour propane? how do you have it set up? i installed mine two days ago and i get a hard bucking when i de-cellerate. it only happens with the propane on. keith from www.dieselperformanceproducts.com. called me right back when i e-mailed him with my problem. i,m going to take off my Van Aaken and see if it still bucks. either way, keith is sending me an updated version they now sell:D . these guys have great costomer service!... . james...

hey Jim, ready for another go at that Dyno?

we havent planned one in the St louis area yet but there is one in KC on the 14th? i believe. :D :D

if my clutch is in, by then, i'll be there.

Performance details with propane usage

Ramhead3437:

I do not have any bucking or other discernable problems or noises, though I am going to play with propane consumption and try turning down the usage. Coming home from Albany on saturday, staying almost always at 85-90 mph with occasionaly excursions to 115 mph, this braggy boy burned out all the propane on board somewhere along the way. My od reported about 300 miles had been run.

Sunday, I replaced the 20lb tank. Not sure IF the original tank was full or not, but we'll see after this tank is used up.

I do hear something that concerns me but it does not sound like 'knocking' that a gasser does. I'm not sure if it's knocking or not, but is very slight and only on WOT about 3000+ rpm.

I'm sure Keith will be a great help, so please report back what you find. My system was installed as it was set up by Keith after he read my signature.

OH< and yes, the bombing is not really complete. I am going to be getting another truck one day, and VOILA< bombing resumes!

:)
