My truck finally came in on Friday. Needless to say I'm pretty excited so far. I got the high idle feature enabled at the dealer this morning, and it looks like it will be handy this winter.

Im already getting 16 MPG with mixed driving on the first tank! Goodbye to the days of 8-10 with my old V10.

high idle feature

MLimpert, was the high idle feature just something you need to ask the dealer about, is it only for the 48re and does it have a procedure # like a TSB?

It is for auto trucks only. It was mentioned in the owners manual, and the dealer hadn't done one yet. They experimented with their DRB and it was under "Miscellaneous Functions" or something like that. It works with the cruise control when the truck is in park. Just hit set, and then the resume button and coast button move it up and down between 1000-1500 RPM.

Looks good. . I don't see many trucks around here that arent quad cabs. . part of me wished Id gotten a reg cab, but I do love the space of my quad cab.

Yeah, I added The BFG A/Ts today. The local tire shop gave me $80 a piece for the stockers, so I figured it would be better to upgrade while they have some value. I have only driven the new truck in the rain once so far, and with the stock BFG rugged trail T/A it was kinda spooky. I've been spoiled by having The A/Ts for the last 3 years, and I feel safer in poor weather driving on them. I wanted to upgrade to 285s, but I guess they are on national backorder, so I had to go stock size.

I wouldn't mind having a Quad Cab, but my garage only has enough room for the regular cab with a longbed. I have a fourwheeler, and the extra bed space is great for storing my loading ramps and gear when I go riding. I'm single, so the extra space doesn't really matter right now, and as a bonus I am never the designated driver!

Do you want to trade those shiny wheels for my regular dull aluminum ones??? Please?? Nice truck though, always liked the way the Dodge standard cab looked.

Those missing doors should be covered under warranty :-laf
Do you think they'll cover his missing wheels too? :-laf :D

I had to get one of each

I really like the Blues, but darn I'm tired of cleaning it, thats why the 04. 5 is white. I sure don't recall seeing a PatBlue Reg Cab on the road yet, it just looks different.

Well I looked and the tires are indeed load range C. :( The tire dealer finally located a set of 285s, and they will be here next week. I just assumed they would be load range D since my last set of BFG A/T was. Glad I didn't find that out while she was loaded down...

Oh, and also as a bonus today, the Rhino Liner shop dropped a tool on the side of the bed and scratched it beyond buffing. I guess my truck with a whopping 250 miles on it is making a trip to the body shop. Sometimes I have the worst luck with these projects.

Well, that's certainly good to hear. I would hate to see you riding around on the C's for long. I have the 285's and love them... I know you will too!

Looks great!! I am wondering if the 05 polished ctr caps will fit on the 04's. I thinks the really ugly part of our wheels is the cap. Would love to change one out. Maybe someday.
