Where to buy cheapest BD brake?

Blair. . I sent our friend to the north my HX40 a week and a half ago. . so it's in his hands... thanks again

Steve they [Pius and Blair] suggested I test it for a while but I said you would be a better guy to test do to your fuel and altitude. . so don't say we are not looking out for ya buddy LOL

GEEEEE's What can I say???

Gary and Blaire... you guys are too much!

I will be at May Madness this year and we can compare and perhaps do some sort of swap... I would love to try it out?

As far as twins, Ken Jones has put together a set for the 03 we're trying out this weekend, and will have for May Maddness. . Also going to develop a universal kit for 94-2002. (secret) . :D

Can't say anymore about it or I will be shot!

BANG now spill the beans or else... . well I will have Gary talk to you.

No need to swap I will just let you try it.

Deeeeeeeee Where are you???

Blaire. . I will be meeting Dee this afternoon (doing lunch) at Ken Jones house and we are going to compare turbo's... I'll make sure he responds to your post or I'll ( let's leave it at that, he's a lot bigger than me). :D

I am really enjoying this turbo!!!!!:D Driving normally there isn't big change from the PDR HX-40. The boost comes on like arocket taking off making it easy to speed with. With two tanks of fuel since it was broke in it looks like the MPG are better and I haven't gotten used to the power as of yet. :D

I towed my brother in laws back hoe this week over a windy 8 1/2% grade and it handled it well, I had to run at a higher RPM to keep the EGTs in check. If the hill wasn't so windy I could have ran in 4th but to keep the rs up it would have been way too fast for this hill. I believe it will tow my smallish TT(6800lbs) just fine at freeway speeds.

I have moved my #0 plate back . 060 for now waiting for Piers to get his waste gate system done. I can now put the peddle to the metal in all gears and not exceed 56 PSI. To nite on the way home I saw 54 PSI in 5th from 75-100 MPH and between 1350-1400 EGTs on one strait piece of road. Before I could get past 7/8 throttle before hitting 56PSI:eek:

Even with the plate moved back it has way more HP (SOP).

It sounds cool even at an idle there is a slight boost wistle through the Scotty 2 and under full boost it has a lot lower noise than the HX-40 did, there is a lot of air moving and I think it's sucking the noise back into itself.

I have found a new way to wake myself up in the morning caffine isn't required, A blast down the on ramp gets the heart a thumping!!!!!!!

I could go on for even but I leave it at this ever since install Piers latest creation I have had this smile that won't go away:D :D

Steve (HebeRam) drove my truck to day he can also tell you some about it.

So you think it is quieter then the 40 too, eh? With the HY I had to put the silencer ring back in because the whistle was too much to bear. However with the 50, I don't have any problem with the noise. Yet when you get on it the noise is still there so it isn't like you lose that aspect. I am glad these turbos are turning a few heads. I can't wait to get my wastegate so I can add more fuel:D

I just filled up for the third time with this Super Turbo and my milage is up about 3/4 MPG:D  ANd this running alot richer AFC adjustment. I have always found that in the low boost relm that the AFC effects MPG.

I just got back from a 150 mile trip(80 miles @80 MPH) up to one of my boy's baseball games. Here is some more info... .

The Intake Air Temp(IAT) is alot lower. Always with the HX-40 my IAT ran 25-30 deg above outside temp. The IAT is now 15-20 degrees above outside temp:cool:

Running 80 MPH boost is 4 PSI down from 6 PSI with the HX-40. Going up over on ramps the boost only goes to 6 PSI vs 10-12 before. The truck feel like it is hardly working with this turbo at freeway speed and when you have to slow behind a slow gasser and then hit resume it take off like a rocket. The cruise is having a hard time dealling with it.

ANd now the coolest thing... I pull into a Flying J to fuel and there is another Dodge there fueling up. The guy walks up and asked how I get that cool turbo noise just idling up to the pump:D

I pop the hood and show him the turbo and his eyes are like popping out of his head. Then he waits for me to get done so he can hear it again before heading home.

John Berger, This isn't just from me... . Richard(MADDOG) stopped by school today in his bad Ford(see Joe I can say it) with the Twin turbo properly valved Cummins. His truck has some really great turbo noise. And the power stroke badges can really be surprising to us hot dodges.

I expect to see both o'ya at MM03 dyno days :D
