I picked up my new 3500 DRW 600 4x4 6sp 3. 73 White Sport Larimie, loaded, yesterday at about 1:30 MST. Oo. First impressions, OH MY GOD what a fabulous truck! The order process was terrible but it is now worth every minute. In reality it was 8 weeks to the day, from the date the order was placed. I ordered 2-14, delivered 4-14. But unfortunately they did not have the right jake brake in stock, so right now I have no jake brake. I guess that is why it was $1171 installed from the dealer. A positive note about my dealer, I sold my 99 on 4-10 and my dealer gave me a brand new 2500 4x4 600 sport 48re build date 01-04 as a loaner until mine came in! That truck was got worse mileage by far than my 3500 on the overhead. I will take it in on the 19th for installation of the jake, which is when DC said it was to be delivered to the dealer so I can't really blame them. The truck has gotten 16. 8 with mostly city driving (overhead, no hand calculation yet) so far, with 150 miles on it. I also got an RB1 installed, man is that thing niceOo. . I guess I will have to update my sig now!

Glad to hear it got in finally. Mine arrived finally on Monday afternoon 4/12 at 4:30 pm. Dealer called and said he would have it ready at noon the next day. He installed the goodies (nerfs, mud mats, shields and such) and had it ready as promised, Village Dodge Hudson NY. The good news is that it was worth the wait. Guys that are still waiting, the good news is that it will finally get there. :p

Yours must have come into Denver as the same train as mine. I picked mine up on Tuesday after mare than a week of it being lost somewhere in the rail system. Extremely happy with mine so far. I was able to get my brake when I picked it up.

Yeah, I'm in Denver alright. I got mine from med ved in castle rock. It amazes me the truck came up through Mexico to Laredo, then to Fort Worth, changed trains. It then went through Oklahoma, Kansas, to Kansas City Missouri and changed trains again. Then, back through Kansas to North Platte Nebraska and changed trains again. Then into Julesberg Colorado up through Cheyenne Wyoming and then back down into Rolla Colorado! Geez what an ordeal! But I sure LOVE THIS TRUCK!

RB1

The RB1 is a whole lot more than just a map! It has all kinds of neet features, to many to even try and list. I got it for $795. 00 installed. Not to spendy if you ask me! The latest trip I just took 50/50 hiway and city, the truck got 17. 5 MPG hand calculated! My truck now has a little over 350 miles on it. Thats better than my 99 got when it was new!

RB4/RB1

I ordered the RB4 in my 325/600 because the RB1 is a significantly defferent nav system. (paid about 600 for the RB4 upgrade over the standard Laramie radio) When ordering, the dealer did not have info on the differences between the two units... I refered him to Mopar.com--- Any way he got me the RB1 and the tech and I installed the unit. Problem------ the GPS receiver for the RB 4 had a square plug in connector ( at the radio side) and the RB 1 had a round plug in to nav radio. Apparantly the vendors to DC were not on the same page, or either ALPLINE, who supplies the unit was not aware of the difference. The GPS receiver for the RB 4 was manfactured in Germany while the receiver for the RB 1 was manfactured in Japan. Only had to take out the ENTIRE dash to get the new GPS receiver installed!

Second problem was the manual--------- one was not provided w/ the unit. (CD was correct) I asked the fleet mgr to get a manual and he did so. ERROR--- DC sent the manual for another RB 4. Reordered through service------- was not shipped----- I finally got CHAPPED! Called DC customer service and told them my dealer had done everything they could to get me a manual. I told them I wanted my manual in three days- PERIOD. The manual arived in two days!!!!! It was for the nav unit in the PACIFICA!!!!!!!

I would like to be the CEO for about four days. It would take

three days to round up all the folks I would FIRE on the fourth day.

However, I do have my manual. Someone handed me one from another vehicle. Tmw I can't wait to talk to Customer service again. And Alpine won't answer the phone.

By the way, the RB 1 is a great unit-- I just refuse to print the manual from the web site. 40K cash------ Iwant the manual
