It doesn't sound like T-Rex is now KORE to me at all. Sounds more like T-REX and it's original owners have split, leaving T-Rex with one group and KORE with another. I could care less what name they slap on the invoice as long as the product remains the same or better. Also, I don't think charging an additional 200 dollars is in any way a good trade-off for faster service. Most people expect timely service as standard practice with great companies, you can take the two hundred dollars off my invoice and I'll wait.

Kent or somebody... I have heard of a steering dampener made by T-Rex but don't see it on the KORE site in the product line. Any info here? Understand it works well and would be interested in owning one. George

Do you even have an invoice? Airbags don't come with KORE. As for $200 more, I would highly doubt that it has anything to do with faster shipping. Maybe better made, American made, parts... .

Tony- Tatoo... singular or plural? :) Your truck sounds a lot like my newbie, except for the auto and I went with Bilsteins. Dontcha just love the tire/wheel combo?

Nahh, just kidding on the tattoo. Never got aound to it, and they're just too common now. Don't want to be "different, just like everyone else".

I'll get to test out the suspension again soon. Next Thursday I'm heading to Baja for a couple weeks. I'm really looking forward to it. Taking my 83 year old dad to Cabo and some exploring, the wife will fly down and meet us later. Works out great, since the Baja 1000 is the following week too. I'll try to get some decent video of flying trucks. Lucky the camera is auto focus, because I may not be able to after all those cold cervezas... ;-)

George,

Steering stabilzers will be available in December. We're currently testing a new aluminum mount design. Also, expect to see replacement control arms in Spring. These arms will be made of steel and use a hybrid poly and steel heim that will give the free articulation of a heim but the cushion of a bushing. I'll post photos of all new products as they become available.

Best Regards,

I just checked the site and the bilstein setup is $2500, as it was when I checked with Kent a month or so ago when it was still called T-rex. I'm not seeing this so called $200 increase, maybe I'm missing it, or maybe the price used to be less... ?

Thanks Kent. I will be looking for that. Why does the Desert Dodge of yours need different control arms than the stock ones? The stockers have held up well, haven't they (or have I missed something?). George

You're correct, George.

I've only seen the OE control arms bend during accidents (hit by a race car) or by incidents (race truck hitting rock). You will never bend a control arm during normal use. In fact, I like the design of the OE control arms because they'll crumple instead of putting all the energy into the mounting flanges or frame. KORE is making a replacement for customers who have worn bushings in their OE units, or those who are seeking maximum performance. I get a lot of calls requesting these parts. I'll explain the benefits of the new design in upcoming posts. I've got to go do some desert testing right now.

By the way - prices on all systems have been the same for several months. Our "leveling kit" now costs less.

Have a great weekend,

Does the leveling kit cost less because it has less parts? I thought the leveling kit had 4 shocks and 2 front springs. The web site says 2 front shocks. Just curious.

No, the leveling kit is essentially the same stuff - two of our special coils and two Bilstein 5100's. At one time T. Rex included a stud ring to simplify future mounting of a higher end system. I think we sold these separately for around $50. Most people who ordered our leveling kit, didn't opt for the stud ring anyway.

Cheers,
