Here are some more details:

Directions: Go north or south on Interstate 35 into Temple. Exit onto FM 2305 (look for signs pointing to Lake Belton). Go west 9 miles. Turn left on FM 2271. Cross over the damn, hang a right and look for the Rams.

Facilities: The pavilion seats 150 people. There is parking for 100 trucks. We can make room for more if needed. The pavilion has a large BBQ pit. Bring your own meat and fixings and hop in. There is also a restaurant right next to the pavilion and several fast food joints and a grocery store in town. The are bathrooms, a sand volleyball pit, horseshoes, and a playground so bring the kiddies. There is a marina and a campground close by.

Who is invited: This is free event and anyone who wants to make the drive is welcome to attend. The park does not have a gate so entry is free.

Events at the rally: This is still open. We will have a handful of vendors and possibly some things to give away. I have considered a show and shine but I don't know how to handle the classes and judging. If someone wants to step in and do that, go ahead.

If you live in the DFW area or are coming thru the area en route to the event, we will be caravaning down. E-mail me if you are interested and I will give the location and time for departure.

If I think of anything else, I will add it.

243 and Jeff,
Count me in, It just so happens that is the first weekend of my vacation. Now I just gotta talk the wife into driving 6 hours to watch a bunch of guys talk about their trucks. I have a feeling I'll be cummins alone. She already thinks I spend too much time on this website. Hope to see everyone there, put some faces with the names. Guess we'll all have to put our user names on the trucks so we'll know who's who. Thanks to everyone who is helping put this thing together.

This is a very nice campground and has a boat ramp. I will be staying here Friday and Saturday nights at site #27&28. Note at the top of the map site #'s that can be reserved. #'s 1-24 are more open with some views of the lake with restrooms near site 1-5. 25-34 are a little more wooded. 39-47 have many trees. It is about a 2 minute drive accross the top of the dam to the pavilion/rally area. There is a 2 lane boat ramp in the camping area.

What is the feeling towards Rd. Runner's offer of having Outlet Auto Mall, in Dallas, sponser the event? He said they even offered to supply BBQ and bring some trucks down. I think that could work out well.

Thanks, guys, for coming up with a great plan. I expect to attend. I will have some of the TST stuff as I usually do for the shows, and also injectors, Superturbo, etc. from BD. If someone wants something specific from them, let me know off-line and I'll see what kind of a deal I can get for you. I also will probably bring a couple of the modified 13" Sachs clutches set up to hold 900 and 1200 ft lbs. I have e-mailed TST to see if they will attend and bring their latest boxes for the 24 valve crowd.
Joe

I'll be there also. Only 12 miles away.
