It's official, Texas Rally is a go!

Well, It's Saturday--I am not at work--so--all's well. I talked to Richard Holland at Outlet Mall Auto. He is o. k. with the rally date & location. He will provide some bar-b-q & a cook. I am going to keep him posted on the # of people to expect. (I did not ask him if he had a specific limit to try to adhere to). Also will bring some trucks down for display. I think it is great that we will have more than 1 dealership involved. The list of vendors is also looking good. This will be my first experience with trucks that are modified for performance so I am really looking foward to it!

Got another rig to register for the rally. It is a 98 CC. Frank & Sallie Stiles from Canyon Lake, Tx. They will be Camping out, too. He is not a TDR member (yet) so I am posting for them. I am also talking to Ray Parra. He is a TDR member & also a member of Texas Travellers Alpenlite Travel Club. He also is CEO of a Gear Vendors Dealer in Fort Worth. He owns 2 Dodge turbo diesels. If time permits he will come.

I mailed an announcement letter to all the members of the Big D Dodge Diesel Club on Monday, 7-17. Everyone should be getting their copy now. Hopefully, that will stir up some more interest.

As luck would have it I have a race to attend at Temple Accadamy raceway that afternoon,So it looks like I will be able to kill two birds with one stone. I'll be there in the AM for a half day of drooling over some great trucks and then a short pull south of town to put some GM and frd musclecars on the trailer early. Count me in. I hope ya'll don't mind if I bring my 1st Gener. I haven't seen one listed yet, but I can park in the back and stay out of the way. See Ya there.

What did you have in mind?

TXRam will have at least one PowerEdge with him and we could knock out a set of injectors in a little over an hour.

I, too will bring my checkbook. I am interested in some minor power upgrades before I do transmission mods. (I also will bring my better 1/2 to vouch for me when I write the checks)

I just talked to Rowdy R. yesterday on his cell phone. He's in Thayne, Wyoming, now and has made his reservation at the COE park and will be there with his better half and the "boys"(2 dogs). He was in Dubois, WY, last week and had Jerry Jardine(Pinnacle Performance) install a 4" complete exhaust system on his 01 ETH/DEE. For all of you who know Rowdy, he had a bigger turbo housing installed at May Madness in addition to the 275 HP injectors he had installed before he left Texas in late April. He really likes the results now. He's still "dragging" that big Carri-Lite behind him with a new bigger one on order.

Rowdy gave a copy of the letter I sent to all the Big D Club members to Jerry. He expressed an interest in coming. He may come too. So we may have another vendor!!
